Kalia's Story:
 Joining AASL has really been life changing! I joined the Randoms on a whim during the middle of their football season and over the course of 3 years of football, dodgeball, softball and a lot of beers and shots we have become such a close group of friends. It's amazing how this league has really brought together so many great people not only on our team but also on all of the others. I love the sports and now the new bar events; I can't wait to see what's next!

When I started a sports & social league in 2005, I had no idea what to expect! But even though at times it can be stressful, its really everything I hoped it would be!  My favorite thing about AASL, is seeing people happy with their friends and making friends. Because that's my favorite thing to do! I've got great friends who play in the league each season and I've made great friends in the league too! I look forward to seeing AASL continue to grow and make people happy. And I hope see a lot more cool people join AASL too!

I joined AASL the very first softball season, when there were only 3 teams...and have been in the league ever since. Our team "Swingers" was created with myself and few of my friends, and individuals that signed up through AASL. We all clicked immediately and have been team members and friends for 2 1/2 years. Each  season we add new players who bring their friends, who bring their friends and in the end we meet a whole new group of friends. Our team consists of friends, cousins, husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends. Every year we hold a Swingers Christmas party, we do monthly happy hours, celebrate birthdays, watch our favorite football teams together and are in the process of planning a spring 2008 camping trip. Our team hasn't missed a single sport season. We play Volleyball, Dodgeball, Softball, Football and Bowling. The funny thing is that Megan doesn't even ask me anymore if we are playing, she JUST KNOWS!!! Swingers are long term and a huge fan of AASL! Thanks to AASL and my great friend, Megan Shoup, I've met some very cool, long term friends through the sports league.
